Speaker A:

Are you tired of hearing business advice that completely ignores what real life looks like when you're navigating chronic illness?

Speaker A:

Autoimmune disorders flare ups, medical appointments, and just life.

Speaker A:

Lifing Business with Chronic Illness is for entrepreneurs who know they're capable of building something meaningful but need a way to do it that actually works with their body, not against it.

Speaker A:

This podcast brings you honest conversations with founders, CEOs and other bosses, sharing their strategies, adaptations and lessons they've learned while building businesses alongside chronic illness, including what worked, what didn't, and what they wish they had done differently before burnout forced the lesson.

Speaker A:

I'm your host Nikita Williams, a globally ranked podcast host and entrepreneur who's built my business while navigating chronic illness and helping others do the same without sacrificing themselves?

Speaker A:

I created this show to open up the conversations most business spaces avoid.

Speaker A:

The promise of Business with Chronic Illness is simple to show you that you can build a thriving business with chronic illness and autoimmune disorders without sacrificing your health, your peace or your profit.

Speaker A:

You're not behind, you're building differently and you're in the right place.

Speaker B:

Welcome back to the Business with Chronic Illness podcast.

Speaker B:

We took a mini little break here in the beginning of the year to get our bearings a little bit around the fact of how we are shifting this podcast.

Speaker B:

gs that will help you go into:

Speaker B:

Okay, what to expect going forward?

Speaker B:

Well, well, what you're going to expect is more conversations with other business owners.

Speaker B:

You're actually not going to hear as much from me as a solo cast.

Speaker B:

If you want to follow me on Substack or join my email list, this will all be in the Show Notes.

Speaker B:

But if you want to hear more of my thoughts around strategy and connection about growing a business that helps you better breathe and have a sustainable life and put your health first and let it be kind of like your CEO of your business, then you want to follow me on Substack at Built to Breathe.

Speaker B:

see how the world changes in:

Speaker B:

I am so excited about having more conversations with amazing business owners.

Speaker B:

You will hear from men and women sharing their stories and their experiences living with chronic illness.

Speaker B:

What has changed?

Speaker B:

We're going to feature topics specifically on people who were diagnosed with a new chronic illness or a new autoimmune disorder in the middle of their business that they did not have when they first started.

Speaker B:

I feel like we need to have more conversations about that because I don't think we hear a lot of people sharing what had to shift, what didn't shift.

Speaker B:

How did their attention to themselves and their circumstances beforehand either help or made it a little bit more difficult to create the results that they were looking for and how it's okay to shift and change.

Speaker B:

So that is what's coming up in this season of the podcast.

Speaker B:

I'm so excited we're going to be talking to caregivers as well.

Speaker B:

I feel like we don't have enough information out there in the world about what it's like to take care of someone who's living with chronic illness.

Speaker B:

I might even have my husband back on the show to talk about what does that look like, feel like?

Speaker B:

I will also love to have more conversations with a few more people talking about caregiving as they have been growing and sustaining a business a long term.

Speaker B:

And then we're going to do something a little bit more fun which is having particular topics and questions and getting multiple voices on it so that you can hear different aspects and perspectives that will hopefully give you lots of data to make decisions that work for your life and your health while building a business that is profitable and successful.

Speaker B:

So if you want to be a part of this tribe, join us.

Speaker B:

Also on Substack you will find in the section our community we're calling the Business with Chronic Illness the Archive where we continue the conversations that start on the show and continue to grow there.

Speaker B:

So I know for me, I'm really trying to bring in more of a two way conversation.

Speaker B:

Between the conversations that I'm having on the show and what you're listening to and what your thoughts are, objections, ideas, all of that, I want to bring you more into this community that we've been building for over eight years.

Speaker B:

So buckle up buttercup.

Speaker B:

For the next year of what business with chronic illness will look like.

Speaker B:

We will continue to change, morph and continue to serve this amazing community who is learning and growing and just feeling like you're not alone.

Speaker B:

Feeling like you're not alone.

Speaker B:

And we've been doing this for a while.

Speaker B:

I feel like this truly is my legacy work as far as an entrepreneur, as a business owner, that I will hopefully have people remember that this is the place that you can feel seen, heard and taken care of.

Speaker B:

So I can't wait for you to tune in and listen to more conversations and be a part of our community.

Speaker B:

So again, that is called Built to Breathe on Substack.

Speaker B:

Or just join my email list and you'll get even more invitations to what is happening in our world with business with chronic illness and with with me.

Speaker B:

If you would like to learn more about how to continue working with me or hearing more of my thoughts on how I help clients grow and scale their business without sacrificing their health and making it a part of their priority and making it scalable.

Speaker B:

All right, loves, I will see you in the next episode, so stay tuned.

Welcome to Business with Chronic Illness — the podcast for women who are building big dreams with limited energy.
I’m Nikita Williams, and I know what it’s like to be living in pain, carrying a diagnosis (or several), and still wanting more — more purpose, more income, more alignment, more ease. After leaving behind a traditional path and navigating the emotional rollercoaster of chronic illness, I decided to rewrite the rules of success. And now? I help other women do the same.
Here, we have honest conversations about what it really takes to build a sustainable, profitable business when your health is unpredictable. No hustle culture. No toxic positivity. Just powerful stories, practical strategies, and mindset shifts that work — even on flare days.
You’ll hear from guests who get it, solo episodes from my heart to yours, and insights I’ve learned coaching dozens of women through launching and growing their dream businesses — on their terms.
Because business is personal. And when you build it that way, it not only becomes easier… it becomes life-giving.
